Nanocubes using OpenStreetMap as a base for Big Data Visualizations

I am always on the lookout for the use of an Open Source map to show off a product and what a better place to look for candidates then in open source projects.

Nanocubes is an Open Source project that is used to support large spatiotemporal dataset visualizations. How would one display spatiotemporal visualizations you might ask? On a map that's how! Nanocubes use an in-memory data structure that can explore billions of elements over a browser environment. The visualizations are great and are enhanced using OpenStreetMap map tiles.

Using a dark and grey map theme enhances the visualizations by muting the map, still providing context and highlighting the core story of the visualization itself.

You can checkout the Nanacube project at: http://www.nanocubes.net/

You will also find some great live demo's on the project page.

Have fun and keep mapping the OpenSource way!
